I was terminated from my job, and found myself in dire need of learnnig a new "trade" that I could "sell" myself with. Thus, Pro/E seemed the best possible piece of software to know. So, I proceeded directly from being terminated to the nearest PTC dealer that would sell me a copy of the Student Edition of Pro/E version 2001. After going through the tutorials, I found myself still needing more "meat" to get the ball moving on soild modeling. I searched the PTC website to look for any help possible. From their website, I stumbled across Proecentral.
After observing the forums and the incredible model uploads, I decided to make a go for it, and signed up. The wealth of information and the friendliness of both the contributors and the staff have really made my Pro/E experience turn into the greatest thing since peanut butter!!
If I have a problem with understanding a contributors instructions, I can still simply find a more than helpful video which will instruct me, click, by click on how to perform an operation.
Not only are there great modeling forums, but there are Pro/Mechanica, rendering, machining, man- the list goes on!! There's such a great wealth of information from real life users in so many different industries, that there's not one question that can't be answered from Proecentral!!
I am now gainfully employed by an oustanding government institution where, I am the local "pro" in Pro/E, and I am now actually teaching other employees how to use the software...and I only got this knowledge and experience from the Proecentral website forum contibutors, and the other oustanding resources from Proecentral.
Thanks alot Proecentral! You guys ROCK!! and the new web site is easier than ever when needing to find information quickly!!
Sincerely
