During the summer months of 2003, 1,284 users participated in our annual salary survey. Our results show that the typical Pro/ENGINEER user is:
| A married male with a bachelor's or associate's degree in the engineering industry. He is 26 to 35 years of age and has 5 years of Pro/ENGINEER experience. He earns $58,000 per year, enjoys the challenge his job presents, and is positive about his job security. |

Comparison with 2002
Survey results suggest that the downturn in the economy has had its hand in the MCAD market, with average US and Canada salaries down 2% from 2002.
Of those surveyed, nearly 15% actively sought employment for four or more weeks over the past year. In addition, users are more satisfied with the challenge their jobs bring, but less satisfied about their salaries and potential for promotion. The majority of users feel positive about their job security.
